Dan Bollman
Daniel Alan Bollman of Flippin, AR passed away February 9, 2011 at Hospice House of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, AR. He was 62 years old.
Dan was born July 4, 1948 at Prairie du Chien, WI to Leo Enoch and Marjorie Ann (Lange) Bollman. He married Carolyn Lange August 18, 1970 at Columbus, WI. Dan was a 1967 graduate of MFL Community High School in Monona and a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, graduating with a bachelor of science in Industrial Education.
Alaska called in 1971, and Dan and Carolyn moved to Kodiak, AK, where he taught at the Kodiak Regional High School. Life in Alaska was an adventure that took him to every corner of the state. Dan worked for Wien Air Alaska from 1977 to 1984 and was airport manager at the Wiley Post/Will Rogers Airport in Barrow, AK from 1986 to 2008.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, camping, and boating on the Yukon River. Dan moved to Flippin, AR after retirement, sang with the Ozark Choral Society and loved spending time woodworking, and playing guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his brother, Roger (Dorene) Bollman of Volney; his sister, Brenda Bostrom of Vancouver, WA; his niece, Erin Bollman of Des Moines; and a nephew, Alex Justin Bollman of Fort Collins, CO.
