Rudy C. Heins Interred Friday
Funeral services for Rudolph Heins, 63, were held Friday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral home with Rev. F. R. Ludwig officiating. Burial was in Eno cemetery, near Luana.
Rudy Heins passed away at his home here last Wednesday, January 12, following a lingering illness.
Rudolph Carl Heins, son of Henry Heins and Wilhelmina Martens Heins, was born April 6, 1885 at Postville, and departed this life at his home in Postville, January 12, 1949, aged 63 years.
Mr. Heins was born on a farm east of Postville in 1885 and lived there until 1915. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Postville. In 1915 he moved to Guttenberg, where he lived until 1934. In 1934 he moved back to Postville and made this city his home until his death. On December 8, 1915, he was united in marriage with Goldie Follman of Guttenberg at Guttenberg. To this union three children were born, two of whom survive the passing of their father.
Left to mourn his passing are his widow; two sons, Elmer and Oliver, both of Postville; four brothers: William, Louis and Henry, all of near Luana, and Ed of Clermont; two sisters: Anna, Mrs. Charles Senholz, of Postville, and Mrs. John Bittner of Guttenberg.
Mr. Heins was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Dorothy Mae.
