John Buchheim came to his death about 10:30 last Thursday, April 26th, 1928, at the age of forty-seven years, one month and twenty-one days. He was born at Clayton Center March 5, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buchheim, and has made that place his home ever since.
November 17, 1904, deceased was united in marriage to Miss Katie Seifert, daughter of the late Rev. Seifert and to this union two children were born, Mrs. Elmer Seeland, of Clayton Center and Allison, who at the time of death of his father was working for Milo Fuelling on the latter’s farm. These two with the widow survive. He is also survived by five brothers, two half brothers and one half sister, as follows: Rudolph, Fred, William, August and Otto, full brothers, Henry and Charles, half brothers and Mrs. Margaret Butts, half sister. One grandson also survives.
Funeral services were held at two o’clock at the late home and at Zion’s church of which he was a member. Rev. Ahrens, his pastor officiating. Interment was made in the new cemetery at Clayton Center.
The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this sad death.
