Minnie Moyer was born at Elkader, March 5th, 1872. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Moyer. She grew to womanhood here, receiving her education in the Elkader schools. She was a member of the graduating class of the Elkader High School in 1890. Following her graduation she taught in the schools of the county most of the time previous to her marriage on January 4th, 1894, to Mr. Charles N. Hart.
Mrs. Hart is survived by her husband, three sons, Donald at Minneapolis, Minnesota, Everett at Perry, Iowa, Francis at Farmersburg; three daughters, Donna, Marjorie and Mildred, at home; also one brother, Charles B. Moyer of Corvallis, Oregon, and three sisters, Mrs. A. H. Wells and Mrs. Wm. O’Brien of Elkader and Mrs. H. O. Fronbach of Medford, Oregon.
Mrs. Hart was one of Elkader’s most popular girls, having a wide circle of friends who esteemed her for her many admirable qualities. As a wife and mother, Mrs. Hart carried out the promises of her girlhood and her memory will long be cherished not merely by her immediate family and relatives but by a large circle of friends and even those who were merely casual acquaintances. The sympathy of all is with the husband and children to whom death was brought an untimely blow.
