LENNIE SARGENT

Lennie L. Sargent, 82, a former Cedar Rapids resident, died Friday in Seminole, Fla., after a brief illness. Born Nov. 8, 1889, in Strawberry Point, he moved to Cedar Rapids, where he lived until moving to Florida 14 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Iona, to whom he was married Aug. 10, 1950; a daughter, Sophia Hoffman of Papillion, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Horak of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, Julius of Redwood City, Calif.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Leona Clarke of Cedar Rapids.

Services: Brosh chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. A. T. Washington. Burial: County Corners Cemetery near Strawberry Point, Friends may call at the chapel Tuesday.
