STRAWBERRY POINT (Special)—
Funeral services for Lennie
Conner, 54, who died Friday at
Oakdale Sanitarium, were held
yesterday afternoon at 2. o'clock
in the chapel of the Gill Funeral
Home. Burial was in the Strawberry
Point cemetery. He was taken
to Oakdale two months ago.
Previous to that, he had been at
Sunnycrest in Dubuque since last
July.
He was the son of Frank and
Nellie Griffin Conner, born Feb.
22, 1892 southeast of Strawberry
Point. In 1920 he was married to
Dolly Warner. They farmed in
this community. Survivors are the
widow, a daughter, Mrs. James
Stocks, of Elkport; three sons,
Howard, Kenneth and Lee, all at
home; a brother, Del, four half
sisters, Mrs. Harriet Hesner, Mrs.
Carl Hartwig, Mrs. Ray Shriver, of
Strawberry Point, and Mrs. A. G.
Platt, of Manchaster; his stepmother,
Mrs. Anna Conner, of
Strawberry Point; and three
grandchildren.
