Charles Elmer Harbaugh

Funeral services were held for Charles Elmer Harbaugh, 60, Guttenberg, Monday, March 2, 1992, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg. Pastor L. R. Lechner officiated the service with burial in Bethel Cemetery, rural Osterdock. Pallbearers were Jackie F. Harbaugh, Tim Harbaugh, Jeff Harbaugh, Jessie Harbaugh, Larry Werner and Terry Rentschler.

Charles Elmer Harbaugh died February 28, 1992, at University Hospital in Iowa City. He was born April 9, 1931, at Guttenberg, the son of Elmer and Bertha (Staebler) Harbaugh. He attended Guttenberg High School. He worked as a farmhand for many years. He has also been employed with Wright Tree Service, National Oats, Albert Dry Cleaning in Cedar Rapids, and the last few years at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Survivors include two sisters, Marguerite Rentschler, Hiawatha, and Mrs. Merlin (Ruth) Bird, Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Harlan of Cedar Rapids and Jackie of Guttenberg; 15 nieces and nephews; and 23 great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
