According to the obituary of his mother, Gertrude (Harris) Hangartner, Jerry's father is listed as Louis Hangartner. The obituary for his mother was from the Waukon REPUBLICAN-STANDARD, November 25, 1986.----- -----
Services for former Monona, Iowa resident, Jerry Hangartner, age 41, of Waterloo, Iowa were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 28 at Grace Baptist Church, Waterloo, Iowa. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. He died in his home Thursday, December 24, 1987 following a lengthy illness.
Jerry Hangartner was born December 28, 1945, the son of John and Gertrude (Harris) Hangartner. He married Sandra Sue Henkes February 20, 1965 in Monona, Iowa. He was employed as a mechanic at John Deere and Company in Waterloo for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Joyce, Mrs. Donald Mork, who died in Ft. Worth, Texas on January 27, 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; 2 daughters, Amy Hangartner at home and Kristy Campbell of Kaera Air Base, Okinawa, Japan; a step-father, Robert Bluck, Preston, Minnesota; 2 brothers, Jack Hangartner of Charles City, Iowa and Greg Hangartner, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 3 sisters, Joann Welch, Waukon, Iowa, Judy Scheffert, Monona, Iowa, and Sandy Echard, also of Monona.
