Funeral services were held for Earl Francis Dunn, age 87, Wednesday, October 14, 1981 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. The mass was concelebrated by the Most Rev. Francis J. Dunn, Auxiliary Bishop of Dubuque, and Rev. Msgr. Francis P. Friedl. Casket bearers were Pat McTaggert, Dale Hein, Walter Whittle, Edward Olson, George Leonard, and Bob Hendrickson.

Earl Francis Dunn was born July 17, 1894 in Cox Creek Township, Clayton County, Iowa, the son of Pete and Maggie (Carter) Dunn. He graduated from the Elkader High School. He was united in marriage to Mabelle____________*last name not listed.* who passed away in 1963. Dunn died October 12, 1981 at Central Community Hospital. He is survived by one son, Earl Dunn, Jr., of Muncie, Indiana.
