Funeral services for a former Marquette-McGregor area man, Leo Lyle Presho, age 55, were held Monday September 1 at Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor, Iowa with Father Charles LaBarge of Garnavillo officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor, Iowa. Casket bearers were Charles Brooks, Mike Carroll, Ray Troester, Bill Dickey, Lyle Wagner, and Virgil Hefner. Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Leo died Thursday August 28, 1986 at St. Mary's Health Care Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born September 4, 1930 in McGregor, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Edna (Albright) Presho. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor, Iowa. His father died when he was a young boy and he moved with his family to the Panama Canal Zone at the age of ten, returning to the states in 1945. He finished school at the Marquette, Iowa High School in 1947. He returned to the Canal Zone for junior college and remained there in the civil service until moving to St. Louis, Missouri in 1955 where he was a computer programmer. He was not married.

In addition to his father, his step-father, Ludwig Balcer preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edna Balcer of McGregor, Iowa and 2 step-brothers, Robert Balcer of Bentonville, Arkansas and Dr. Charles Balcer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
