Wm. Oelke, one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens departed from this life on Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock. His death was not unexpected and he died surrounded by all the members of his family. The funeral will take place Fri. at 1 p.m. Further particulars in our
next letter.

August Oelke of Audubon County is in town having been called here by the sickness and death of his father.

August Oelke and wife of Exira were here in attendance at the funeral of Mr. Oelke. August
returned home on Tues. and his wife will follow next week.

Card of Thanks: To the numerous friends who during the illness of our late beloved husband
and father rendered such willing assistance, and whose kind sympathy lightened our grief, we hereby tender our most grateful thanks. Mrs. Oelke and family.
