Services were held from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo on Tuesday, July 24, for Leslie D. Decker who died suddenly on July 22 at the age of 36 years.

Rev. E. C. Urlaub officiated and pallbearers were Glenn Ackley, Ronald Thein, Harold Mueller, Terry Ackley, Robert Priem and Michael Dingbaum. Burial was in the Garnavillo City Cemetery.

Leslie D. Decker was born on July 28, 1936, to Milo and Vella (Boardman) Decker at Harpers Ferry. In 1953 he was married to Betty Jane Priem at Garnavillo.

Surviving him are his wife, his children: David Dean, Vicki and Leslie, at home, Susan of Waterloo and Deborah (Mrs. Rex Meyers) of Grundy Center; his mother, Mrs. Dick Harberts, Janesville, Iowa; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Almeda Boardman of McGregor; three sisters: Mrs. Richard (Fay) Thein of Garnavillo, Mrs. Dean (Gloria) Priem of Garnavillo and Mrs. Warren (Judith) Waddell of Waterloo; and three brothers: Charles of Springfield, Virginia, and John and Milo, both of Waterloo.
