Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 18, for Henry Willis Heins who died Saturday, July 15, 1989 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Knoxville, Iowa. The 10:30 a.m. services were held at St.Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa with the Rev. Julius Peterson officiating. Burial was in Postville Cemetery with Schutte Funeral Service of Postville in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Wayne Heins, Steve Heins, Brad Krousie, Brian Krousie, Ernie Heins, and Jr. Jay Heins.

Henry was born December 19, 1921 near Luana, Iowa to Henry Carl and Amelia Louise (Klutzbach) Heins and received his education in rural school near Luana. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and had been employed as a roofer all his life.

On June 24, 1941 he married Eunice Schultz. Born to this marriage were ten children: Nathan and Jerry Heins of Postville, Mrs. Gary (Gloria) Gelo of Waukon, Iowa, Carol King of Marquette, Iowa, Mrs. Terry (Linda) Krousie of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mrs. Gene (Amelia) Hertrampf of Woodman, Wisconsin. Diane, Judy, and two infant sons are deceased.

On August 13, 1960 he married Linda Rubendall in West Union, Iowa. Seven children were born to this marriage: Ronald Heins of Clermont, Iowa, Robyn, Gloria, Russell, and Rodney Heins, all of Monona,Iowa, Richard Heins of Waukon, Iowa, and Henrietta Heins of Postville, Iowa.

In addition to his children listed above he is survived by 36 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glendor and Ernest Heins of Postville, Iowa and two sisters, Mrs. Roland (LaVerna) Dundee of Postville and Mrs. Virgil (Mabel) Sawvell of Anoka, Minnesota.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Heins.
