Services for Edna Sophie Emelie Miller, 86, of Prairie du Chien, WI formerly of McGregor, Iowa who died November 23, 1989 at her home were held November 27 at the United Methodist Church with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa. Rev. James Rozendaal conducted the services. The Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor was in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 21, 1903 in Monona Township, Clayton County, Iowa to parents Louis and Ida (Roth) Henkes. She married Walter L. Miller on July 20, 1922 at Monona. They lived in the McGregor area most of their lives. Mr. Miller died November 25, 1972. Edna moved to Prairie du Chien, in 1979.

She is survived by a son, Don, San Diego, CA; a daughter Eva Mae Potratz, Sterling, IL; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Everette Henkes of Prairie du Chien, WI; a sister Irene Kuthe, Monona, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, four brothers and a sister.
