Mrs. Wm. Doerring Interred Saturday

Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. William Doerring, 82, of Luana. Mrs. Doerring passed away at her home Tuesday.

Friederike Marie Garms Doerring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joachim Garms, was born March 29, 1867 on a farm in Farmersburg township, Clayton county.

Several years of her maidenhood she spent working for the Henry Oelke's of Farmersburg. On April 2, 1895 she was married to William Doerring. Mr. Doerring at the time of their marriage was operating the farm which today is known as the Charles Landt farm. In 1906 they moved to the farm which Mr. Doerring still owns south of Luana.

In the summer of 1932 they built a new home in Luana and moved in the fall of the same year. It was in this home that she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2, 1945.

She attained an age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers and one granddaughter, Jeanette.

Mrs. Doerring leaves to mourn her departure, her husband; her six sons: Orville, at home; Elmer of St. Paul, Minnesota; Lorenz of Luana, John of Luana; William of Chicago, Illinois; and Alvin of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Knuth, of Luana. She also leaves to mourn her death, her 18 grandchildren.
