HOLD SERVICES FOR EVELYN F. BENSON, 92

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn E. Benson 92, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Dittmer in Oelwein, were held Monday at the Gill Chapel in Strawberry Point with Rev. Wayne L. Carlson officiating.

Mrs. Benson lived in Strawberry Point most of her life but the past five years were spent in Oelwein with her daughter Mrs. Dittmer.

She was born on March 29, 1860 in Fayette County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Waite. She was married to George Benson in 1885 in Waterloo.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and a devout worker for the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Mrs. Deloss Burgett. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Dittmer; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Burial was made at County Corners Cemetery.
