Mrs. Chas. Doerring Interred Thursday
Funeral services were held last Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona for Mrs. Charles Doerring of Monona who passed away at Postville Hospital January 8. The service was held from the home at 12:30 to the church at 1:00.
Rev. R. C. Schlueter was in charge of the rites. Burial was at the Lutheran Church cemetery in Monona.
Louise Mary Anna Doerring, daughter of August Schrader and Marie Homan, was born in Wagner township, Clayton county on March 2, 1872. She passed away at Postville Hospital on January 8, 1951, aged 78 years.
She was married to Charles Doerring at Clayton Center on February 9, 1891. Mr. Doerring survives her passing. To this union six children were born, all of whom survive the passing of their mother.
The couple lived in Monona township for a number of years, spent some time in Marion township and for the last 15 years lived in the town of Monona.
She leaves to mourn her passing besides her husband, four sons, Edward, Arno, Hubert and Lester, all of Luana; two daughters, Amanda, Mrs. Fred Becker, of Luana; Esther, Mrs. Elmer Mohs, of Postville; 19 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Two brothers also survive, namely, August Schrader of Farmersburg and Henry Schrader of Luana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters, and a grandson, Charles Doerring of Luana.
