FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CRASH

Harold Dettmann, 63, Guttenberg, died in a crash of a car and motorcycle on U.S. 52, seven miles south of Guttenberg Sunday night. Also killed in the crash was the driver of the motorcycle, Terrence Meyer, 29, Dubuque.

Injured in the crash were Dettmann's wife, Orvilda, 63, and his mother, Gretchen, 91. Both are hospitalized in Guttenberg.

Services have been set for Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral home.

The Dettmanns are former Postville residents.
