Services Held For Irene Dorcas

Mrs. Lawrence (Irene) Dorcas, 64, died Thursday, September 15, 1977, in a Visalia, Calif. convalescent home.

A native of Luana, Iowa, she was born December 29, 1912, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kurth, Jr., of Luana. She attended rural schools here.

She was married to Lawrence Dorcas on July 24, 1937 at Nashua, Iowa.

The couple moved to the Los Angeles area in 1939 and to Visalia in 1969. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linwood, Calif.

Her parents and one brother, Eldon, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband; one step-son, Larry Krambeer of West Yellowstone, Mont.; two half-brothers, Dale Kurth of Farmersburg and Virgil Kurth of Monona; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eldon Kurth of Monona; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services were held Monday, September 19, 1977, at 1:30 p.m. in the Hadley Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, Calif. on Tuesday at 12 noon.
