Funeral services for Harvey Jones were held Thursday, January 15, 1981, 1:00 p.m. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona with Pastor Karl Hanson officiating. Pallbearers were Ronald Mueller, Warren Mueller, Pat Carroll, Tony Mueller, Andrew Mueller and Paul Welzel. Burial was in the UB Cemetery, rural Gunder. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Harvey A. Jones, the son of Jeff and Emma (Engelhardt) Jones was born January 13, 1894, in Clayton County. In June of 1914 he was united in married to Ida Nesteby and to this union two children were born. He was a painter by profession. He lived in Waukon for 36 years. They recently moved to Farmersburg to make their home.
He died Monday, January 12, 1981 at Elkader Care Center having reached the age of 86 years, 11 months and 29 days. Preceding him in death were his parents, several infant sisters and brother, a sister Mrs. Lillian Fiss, and a brother Alva.
Surviving are his wife wife Ida, his son Harley of St. Olaf; his daughter, Mrs. Orval (Maxine) Mueller of Famersburg,; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Connor of Battle Creek, Michigan.
