Mrs. James Boland
Elkader, Iowa—Special: Mrs. James Boland, 88, died at the family residence near Elkader Thursday morning after a short illness. The body is resting at the residence from where the funeral will be held Saturday morning to St. Joseph’s Church, Elkader, Iowa, at 10 o’clock. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Taken, pastor, will celebrate the requiem mass and preach the sermon. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The McTaggart-Haudenshield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Boland was born on April 2, 1855, and has been a resident of Clayton County all her life.
Surviving are three daughters, Sister Martha, of the Convent at Danbury, Ia., Mrs. Mary Donlon, Decorah, and Miss Ann, Elkader; three sons, Thomas and Phillip, both of Elkader, and John, of Tobique, Minn., and 17 grandchildren.
