WOLFF, GEORGE ADOLF
George Adolf Wolff was born on October 12, 1882 in Saarbrucken, Germany. Rev. Wolff came to serve as a minister in the German Methodist Church. He later transferred his Elder's Orders to the Church of the Nazarene. He received his education in Charles City, Iowa.
Rev. Wolff's first wife, Clara Eichhorst Wolff, preceded him in death in 1934. He was united in marriage to Pearl Elizabeth Maxwell on November 20, 1937, in Harmony, Minnesota.
Rev. Wolff spent the last nine days of his life in Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He passed away on Monday afternoon, September 29, 1969 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his first wife, two sisters, and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Margaret Hubacher, Madison, Wisconsin, one step-son, Calvin Bennett, Visalia, California, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Adolf of Koeln, Germany.
Services were held on October 2, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene, Monona, Iowa with the Rev. Rick Borger and the Rev. Aleck Ulmet officiating. Interment was at the Monona City, Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.
