Clara R. McNally
Funeral services were held Friday, January 25 at 3 p.m. at the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder, for Clara R. McNally who died January 22 at Oakwood Manor, Clear Lake, where she had resided for five years. The Rev. Robert Henriksen and Rev. Murley Severtson officiated.
Clara R. McNally, daughter of Thomas and Mollie (Ruroden) Mork was born March 27, 1901, in Marion Township, Clayton County, near Elgin. She was baptized and confirmed in the Marion Lutheran Church, Gunder, where she remained a life-time member.
On January 19, 1919 she was united in marriage with Lewis J. McNally and they became parents of 11 children. The couple farmed near Luana until 1931.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Wayne, one grandson, Rand McNally, her parents and one brother Selmer Mork.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L. McNally of Luana and Dr. Roland L. McNally of Springfield, Virginia; eight daughters: Mrs. Lindy (Mary) Blatti of New Hampton; Lucy McNally of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Hugh (Dolores) Varty of Clear Lake; Mrs. Don (Shirley) Nylund of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Mrs. Bob (Virginia) Rude of Onalaska, Wisconsin; Mrs. Dick (Betty) Searls of Ames; Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Smith of Elgin; Mrs. John (Sandra) Cutler of Hampton; 34 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five brothers: Enock Mork, Postville, Millard Mork, Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; Robert Mork, McGregor; Millien and Otto Mork, Elgin and a sister Mrs. Emery (Anna Mae) Landsgard, Elgin.
Burial was in the Marion Lutheran Cemetery.
