Funeral services for Blanche Mabel Robinson Moses were held Tuesday, April 25, 2 p.m., at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona. Rev. Gary Dobbins and Rev. Tom Mattison officiated. Burial was in Council Hill Cemetery, rural McGregor. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.
Blanche Moses, daughter of William and Marietta Robinson was born June 20, 1902. She died April 21, 1989 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith. She received her education in Pleasant Ridge country school near McGregor.
On July 4, 1923 Blanche married William Moses in the United Methodist Church in McGregor. They had 5 children. The couple farmed in the Monona area from 1924 to 1960. They retired and moved to Strawberry Point from 1960 to 1962. In 1962 they moved to Ferryville, WI. She resided in Ferryville at the time of her death.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 1 sister, 4 brothers, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, William, Sr., 2 sons, Willard of Colorado Springs, CO; and William, Jr., of Monona; 3 daughters, Shirley Stangeland of LaCrosse, WI, Dolly Klingeman, Monona and Betty Moses of Garnavillo, IA; 24 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a brother, Gilbert Robinson, Cedar Rapids.
Pallbearers were the grandchildren of Blanche Moses.
