John McKinley, formerly of this community, passed away at his home in Chicago Sunday evening after an illness of three years. He was born in Grand Meadow township in 1876, the son of the late John and Ellen McKinley and had been practicing law in Chicago for the past 35 years. Surviving are his widow, one daughter, and one son, a sister, Kathryn, of Oak Park, Ill., and three brothers, William and Archie of Chicago, and Dr. James McKinley of Oak Park. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the St. Clement's Catholic church in Chicago.
