Ole Aanes Passes Away; Funeral Held on Monday

Funeral services for Ole Aanes, 79, were conducted on New Year's day in the East Clermont church by the Rev. E.E. Ramsey. Burial was in the East Clermont cemetery.

Mr. Aanes had been in failing health for several weeks, but his condition was not regarded as being serious. A few weeks ago he went to Red Wing, Minn., to visit his son, Dr. Almer Aanes, and at that time received medical care in a Red Wing hospital. He returned to his home near Clermont with his other son, Lloyd Aanes, and his condition remained about the same until Friday evening when he passed away at 9:30 o'clock.

Mr. Aanes was born June 21, 1860. He was one of the best known agriculturists in Grand Meadow township where he lived his entire life. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Dr. Almer Aanes of Red Wing, Minn., and Lloyd Aanes of near Clermont, one daughter, Mrs. Louis Hovland, of near Clermont, and one sister, Mrs. Volles Helgerson, of Canton, S. Dak. One son and two daughters preceded him in death.
