COLESBURG, Iowa -- Marie Mildred Schenke, 86, of Colesburg, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, one day before her 87th birthday, at Edgewood Convalescent Home following a short illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at United Methodist Church, Colesburg, with the Rev. Allen Craft officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, rural Colesburg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Edgewood. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Surviving are a brother and two sisters, Burdette (Lavera) Schenke and Wilma (Robert) Lincoln, both of Colesburg, and Janet Brockmeyer, of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Hope Schenke, of Turlock, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Walter Lanning, of Delhi; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Schenke; two sisters, Donna Reynolds and Ruth Lanning; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Brockmeyer.
