Iowa City - Roger D. Hansel, 19, of Garber, died in an Iowa city hospital Saturday, the fourth fatality in an automobile accident one week ago at Backbone state park near Strawberry Point. Previous victims were Elsie Moser, 15, Carson Moser, 20, and his wife, Arlene, 17. Three other young people were injured when the car in which they were riding crashed into a tree early last Saturday.

Roger Hansel had been in critical condition since the accident with injuries including a compound skull fracture. Driver of the car was Lester Hansel, 19, who was injured along with Jerry Thein, 19, and Clarence Hansel, 19. All were from the Clayton county town of Garber.
