Triple funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 27 at 2 p.m. for Mr. and Mrs. Carson Moser and Elsie Moser at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in Garber. Interment was at the Bethel cemetery on the Colesburg-Osterdock road. The three young people were victims of a tragic auto accident that occurred just inside the north entrance of Backbone state park Saturday morning, July 24.

Mrs. Moser, formerly Arlene Ruth Reinhardt, was born Sept. 14, 1938, at Littleport, Ia., the daughter of Herman and Gertrude Adams Reinhardt. She attended the Edgewood public school and was a member of the Lutheran church. Oct. 24, 1953 she married Carson Moser at Garber. She is survived by her parents; three brothers, Walter, James and Cletus, and one sister, Betty, all of Strawberry Point. Also her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Oren Adams, Strawberry Point.

Mrs. Moser died instantly in the car accident. Her husband, Carson, died Sunday morning in an Iowa City hospital of injuries suffered in the mishap.

He was born April 5, 1934, the son of Leonard and Golda Hansel Moser. He attended the Elkport high school and had been employed at a lumber works in Dubuque the past year.

His sister, Elsie, 15, also died instantly in the accident. She was born May 12, 1939 in Mallory township, near Osterdock and was a sophomore in school.

Both are survived by their parents; four sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Lowell (Leila) Minger, Guttenberg; Mrs. Orville (Shirley) Bonjour, Volga; Mrs. Gerald (Caroline) Harbaugh, Garber, and Gloria Mae, at home; Theodore, Guttenberg; Cletus, Marion; David and Elwood, Garber.
