Marian L. Lutz (Handke), 65, of Hazleton, died June 10 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, IA.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12, 1 p.m. at Zion American Lutheran Church. Rev. Phyllis Wolkenhauer and Rev. LaVerne Streich officiated. Interment was in the East Side Cemetery, Elkader. Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Marian L. Lutz, daughter of Carlaus Meyer and Amanda Schultz Meyer was born Dec. 18, 1925 at Postville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Handke and second husband, Lester Lutz; 1 brother, Merl and both parents.

Surviving are a son, Richard Handke, Oelwein; 3 daughters, Carla (Mrs. John) VandeVorde, Stanley, IA, Mary Handke, Mason City and Dawn Handke, Hazleton; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
