Jennifer Jane Imbus, 37, Luana, Iowa, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, at her home following a long illness.

Mass of Christian Burial was said at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona. The Very Rev. Richard Gaul was the celebrant.

Inurnment was in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.

Visitation was held from 4 to p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Visitation was also held one hour before mass time at teh church on Thursday.

Jennifer was born on June 7, 1972, Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Gerald and Colleen (Baumler) Guenther. Jennifer graduated from North Fayette High School, West Union, Iowa, with the class of 1990.

Jennifer was united in marriage to Michael Imbus on October 16, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working on the computer and playing cards. She will be deeply missed by the many people who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Imbus, Luana; her parents, Gerald and Colleen Guenther, West Union; one daughter, Alannah Ann Guenther, Luana; one step-daughter, Jennifer Jean Imbus, Monona; one step-son, Justin Imbus; one brother, Jeff Guenther, West Union and a host of other family and friends.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hardy and Adaleen Guenther and her maternal grandparents, Carl and Mathilda Baumler.
