Services for Harley Alonzo Moore who died Dec. 13 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN were held Dec. 16 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona, with burial in the St. Paul Lutheran Church cemetery. Pastor Harold Ward conducted the services. Florence Evans was organist. Pallbearers were Eldon Kregel, Donald Kregel, Ivan Krueger, Bill Gentz, Tom Rose and Jerry Brown. The Schultz's Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 19, 1914 to Harvey and Elouise Meana Moore. He was baptized Oct. 31, 1929 at the Luana Methodist Church and confirmed in 1949 at Grace Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. He received his education in Luana Public School graduating from high school in 1932.

He married Lillian Gilster on May 30, 1936 at St. Paul's Lutheran Parsonage in Monona. They had five children. Before marriage, he worked with his father doing silo construction. He managed theaters in St. Paul, MN. In the early 1950's, he operated his own theater business, the Garwood Theater in Garnavillo, and was employed at J. C. Costigan Construction Co. in Elkader and Iowa State Highway Department. He returned to the theater business and was employed by Central States Theater Corp. of Des Moines. He managed theaters in Mason City, Clear Lake and then for many years in Dubuque until his retirement. The couple retired in Monona in the late 1970's.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; 2 sons, Ronald of Cornell, WI and Pastor David of Linn Grove; a daughter, Rochelle Denneau of Milwaukee, WI; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Delpha Brainard of Postville; Virginia Starkey of Wauna, WA; Verna Lenhart of Elkader and Ruth Starkey of Ankeny; a half-brother, Larry Moore and a half sister, Lorna Pederson, both of Rockford.

He is preceded in death by a son, Randy and infant child and two brothers, Billy and Jason.
