Funeral services for Jason V. Moore, 71, were held Aug. 1, 1984 at the Overton Funeral Chapel, Janesville, WI. The Rev. Eugene Leschensky officiated. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville.
Jason V. Moore, son of Harvey A. and Louise (Meana) Moore was born Aug. 27, 1912 in Calmar. He died Saturday, July 28 at his home in Janesville.
Jason was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist church at Luana. He attended the Luana Consolidated School, graduating in 1932. He was married to Florence Madison of Monona in May of 1939 at St. Louis, MO. To this union one son, Dennis, was born. They lived for several years in Elkader where he was a mechanic at the Ford garage and later worked as school custodian at Elkader. They moved to Janesville in 1969 where he was employed by the Chrysler Corporation of Belvidere, IL until his retirement in 1977.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William B. Moore. Surviving are his wife, Florence; son, Dennis of Milwaukee, WI; two grandchildren, Kellie and Scott; a brother, Harley of Monona; four sisters, Verna Lenhart of Elkader, Delpha Brainard of Postville, Ruth Starkey of Ankeny, Mrs. Harry (Virginia) Starkey of Wauna, WA; a half brother, Larry Moore of Texas and a half sister, Mrs. Roger (Lorna) Peterson of St. John's, KS.
