LUANA, Iowa -- Landon Roy Knickerbocker, 11-month-old son of Shannon and Jennifer (Heins) Knickerbocker, of Luana, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at home following complications since birth.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, with the Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born on Dec. 26, 2008, in La Crosse. Landon was a beloved member of our family and a joy to his parents and siblings. We were only able to hold and cuddle him for a brief time, but we could not have loved him more. Now he is in heaven, where he can be held and loved by God. Landon will live in our hearts forever.

Surviving are his parents; three siblings, Ann, Emily and Michael Knickerbocker, of Luana; paternal grandparents, Gayle and Ray Rose, of Monona, and Ned Fox, of Tennessee; maternal grandparents, Steve and Muriel Heins, of Luana; paternal great-grandmother, Ethel Fox, of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; maternal great-grandmother, Imojean Ingles, of Monona; and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandfathers, Leo Knickerbocker and Luroy Fox; maternal great-grandparents, Raymond Ingles and Glen and Bernita Heins; great-aunt, Mary Landt; and cousin, Brandon Frazier.
