Burns Fatal to Colesburg man ...Frank R. Bush died from Burns in Dubuque. Funeral services for Frank R. Bush, 64, were held Monday afternoon from the Bethel Church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Bush, a former resident of this vicinity died Saturday afternoon March 1945 at a hospital in Dubuque. His death was caused by third degree burns received Friday morning when by mistake he used gasoline instead of Kerosene in starting a fire. He had been working on a farm at Balltown.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bush, he was born October 15, 1880 on a farm near Osterdock. The greater part of his life was spent in this vicinity. For eight years, he had lived in Dubuque county.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Mrs. Amy Becker.
Surviving are two half-sisters, Mrs. Louis Kauffman of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Roy T. Hochhaus of Edgewood, two half brothers, Maurice and Orson Bush, both of Dubuque, and one niece, Sgt. Gwen Rusic of Arlington, Va., a member of the Wacs. Mr. Bush never married.
