Mary "Moser" Friedlein...Former Resident Was Stricken In Wisconsin.
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the Beerman funeral parlors for Mrs. Mary Friedlein, 70, who died unexpectedly March 6, 1945 at the home of her grandson, John Harvey Bull at Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
The services were in charge of Dr. Dale D. Welch, president of the University of Dubuque, and burial was in City Cemetery. Pallbearers for the services were Walter Jacobs, A. C. Becker, Gust Dittmer, William Tomkins, Fred Meyer and Fred J. Friedlein.
Mrs. Friedlein was born at Osterdock, February 28, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moser. She was married to William Friedlein in 1892 at Guttenberg, and lived here until 1918 when she moved to Junction City, Wisconsin. In September of 1942 she moved to Wisconsin Rapids to make her home.
While in Guttenberg they operated the hotel now known as the Ahlers.
Mrs. Friedlein is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Glen Fry and Mrs. Viola Bull, both of Wisconsin Rapids; Three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Two brothers also survive. They are John Moser of Independence, Missouri, and Alex Moser of Osterdock. Mr. Friedlein preceded her in death in 1912.
