Funeral services for Willis William Kurdelmeyer were held Saturday, May 5, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. Rev. Harold Ward officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of services.
Willis was born December 2, 1912, in Monona. His parents were Fred and Elizabeth Ihde Kurdelmeyer. He died at his home in Monona, Wednesday, April 2, 1990.
He was baptized January 12, 1913 by Pastor Wappler and confirmed August 29, 1926 by Pastor Daugs at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. He received his education in the Monona school, graduating from High School in 1930.
He farmed in the Monona area for many years. He later moved into Monona. He was a talented musician, playing clarinet and saxophone in the Mississippi Night Hawk band for over 40 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Marvin.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Lenora Scherer and Greta Kurdelmeyer, both of Monona, a niece and 2 nephews.
Pallbearers were Don Havelick, Virgil Kaiser, Julius Dettmann, LaVern Garms, Emmett Gunderson, Milton Gramlich and Kenneth Duwe.
