ARLENE KUNZMAN
VOLGA: Funeral services for Arlene Kunzman, 74, of Spring Grove, Minn., were held Monday, March, 9, 1992, at 2 p.m., at the Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove. Her death occurred Wednesday, March 4, 1992, at her home.
She owned and operated the Bake Shoppe in Spring Grove from 1971 to 1979.
She was born Feb. 3, 1918 at Turkey River, Iowa, to Irvin and Lillian (Penhollow) Smith. The family lived in Volga, Iowa, for a number of years where her father was employed on the railroad.
Arlene attended the Volga school and graduated with the Class of 1935. She was united in marriage to William Kunzman of Volga on March 25, 1942. The ceremony took place at Dubuque, Iowa. His death occurred in March 1966.
For a time Arlene lived in Sioux Falls, S. Dak., prior to moving to Spring Grove.
She is survived by two sisters: Gertrude Klug, Spring Grove, and Dorothy Baker, Milan, Ill., and a special brother-in-law, Corty Sandager, nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded by an infant daughter; her parents and one sister, Laura Smith.
Crematory rites were held later with burial in the Goshen Cemetery at Millville, Iowa.
