Funeral services for Randy Jerome Klingman, 39, were held Monday, November 18, 1991 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona. Pastor Terry Hudson officiated. Organist was Florence Evans. Burial was in Elgin Cemetery, Elgin. Pallbearers were Don Hamsmith, Dave Roach, Craig Kahrs, Roger Rustad, Roger Gamm and Brad Freilinger. Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona were in charge of the services.

Randy was born September 21, 1952 at McGregor, IA to parents Lee Roy and Dolores (Wagner) Klingman. He was baptized October 19, 1952 at St. Sebald Lutheran Church near Strawberry Point and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church April 3, 1966 in Volga.

Randy graduated from Central High School in Elkader in 1970. He attended Iowa State University in Ames.

Randy was united in marriage to Laurie Kahrs Cheeseman at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona on May 13, 1989. The couple made their home in Monona. Randy farmed in the Volga area for a number of years. He worked for Olson Explosives in Decorah and presently was the manager at Croell Redimix in Monona.

Randy died Thursday, November 14, 1991 near Clayton, IA, as a result of an accident. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Sunday school staff. He served in the Oelwein National guard for five years. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, carpentry, sports, Monona and his family.

Preceding him in death was his father, Lee Roy, who died May 15, 1976. Grandparents, Ray and Mable Klingman and Arthur Wagner.

Surviving is his wife, Laurie; step-children, Traci and Tara; children, Deshanna and Steven of New Hartford; mother, Dolores Klingman of Volga; brothers, Ricky of Volga and Jon of Pleasant Valley; sister, Cindy Hofmockel of Ames; grandmother, Lucille Wagner of Farmersburg; 21 nieces and nephew and a host of relatives and friends.
