Emil Koss Interred Tuesday
Funeral services were held at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Tuesday, December 21, at 2:00 o'clock for Emil Koss, who passed away Sunday, December 19. Rev. L. W. Reuther, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana, officiated. Burial was made in the Luana cemetery.
Emil Koss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koss, was born in Clayton Center, September 26, 1884, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
The family, for a number of years, owned a farm south of Luana, now known as the Hubert Doerring farm.
He was a carpenter by trade and traveled considerably. After his health failed, he came back to Clayton county, where he remained until his death.
He is survived by three sisters: Mrs. William Garms of Mason City, Emma of Sioux City, and Mrs. Felix Gleisner of McGregor, and a number of cousins around Luana and Postville.
