ADA MAE HENRY
Funeral services were held for Ada Mae Henry, Cedar Rapids, 70, Saturday, August 12, 1989, at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.
Pastor Carolyn A. Myers officiated the service with burial in Cedar Rapids Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Pallbearers were Dean Frey, Richard Hanson, Ralph LaCombe, W. C. Schoon and Donald Schmidt.
Ada Mae “Mae” Henry was born June 25, 1919, in Farmersburg, the daughter of Samuel and Odelia (Otting) Little. On April 13, 1957, she married George T. Henry in Cedar Rapids. She had previously taught in Fort Madison.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Home Economics Club, the Jubelation and Gospbells Bell Choirs at First Lutheran Church, as well as assisting in the Sunday School program and a supporter of the Washington High Athletic and Arts program.
Ada Mae Henry died Wednesday, Aug. 9, at St. Luke’s Hospital following a brief illness.
Survivors include her husband, George; two sons, Jerry and Jeff of Cedar Rapids; and a granddaughter Kalese.
