Funeral services were held for Ronald James O'Brien, 45, Thursday, Jan. 5, 1989, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader. Rev. John W. Stark officiated the service with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Elkader. Pallbearers were Bill Langel, Wendell Meyers, Randy O'Brien, Dan Meyers, Mike O'Brien and Steve O'Brien.

Ronald James was born February 21, 1943, the son of Francis and Mary (DeWitte) O'Brien. He died January 2, 1989 at the Craft Care Center, Panora, Iowa.

Survivors include his mother and a brother Edwin of St. Olaf.

Preceding him in death was his father and two sisters, Patricia Ginsterblum and Dorothy Meyers.
