Clayton B. O'Neal

Clayton B. O'Neal of Prairie du Chien died September 29, 1977 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie following a lingering illness.

Clayton was born on May 10, 1918 at Colesburg, Iowa to Nettie O'Neal. During his lifetime he lived at Colesburg, St. Olaf, Elkader, Manchester, Monona, and Prairie du Chien, moving there in 1972.

Mr. O'Neal was married to Lucille Glawe on January 31, 1939 at St. Olaf. Clayton was engaged in farming and trucking.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 3, 1977 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. Rev. R. D. Ehlers officiated. Pallbearers were Lee Palas, Rodney Glawe, Randy Glawe, Edward Coobs, Dennis Leuchtenmacher and Douglas Glawe.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1922.

Surviving him are six children: Mrs. Donna Krampeter of Elkader, Mrs. Milo (Diane) Doerring of Luana, Mrs. Joseph (Susan) Ludvik, Jr., Mrs. Robert (Linda) Ambrose of Monona, Sherry O'Neal of St. Olaf, and Clay O'Neal, Jr., U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Va. There are fourteen grandchildren.
