On February 6, 1891, he was united in marriage to Miss Alvina Baltice (Baltes) of Clayton, and to this union seven children were born, all of whom are living.
Mr. Kohls, known as 'Ted' to his friends was a carpenter in this vicinity for thirty years. Five years ago, he and his wife went to Chicago, where he had worked at his trade until the time of his death.
Ted had many friends, and was like by all who knew him. Death came as a shock for he had been working until Monday noon, when he became suddenly ill and was taken to the hospital.
