Mrs. Kohls Dies Here

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Apr. 30 for Mrs. Alvena Kohls, 89, Marquette, at the Thornburg funeral Home.

Services were conducted by Rev. D. E. Kehril, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Kohls died at the McGregor Community Hospital Sunday, Apr. 28. She was born in Keokuk, the daughter of Frederick and Constance Baltes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin E. Kohls. Survivors include one son Dallas of Dubuque; three daughters, Mrs. Archie (Violet) Knapp of Marquette, Mrs. John (Clarice) Knapp of Harpers Ferry and Mrs. Larry (Beatrice) Rathje of Nampa, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
