GUTTENBERG, Iowa -- Jon Richard Andregg, 71, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, following a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Burial will be in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. 1st, Guttenberg. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Andregg worked for the John Deere Dubuque Works for 10 years and the Army Corp of Engineers at Lock and Dam 10 in Guttenberg, until his retirement.

He was born on Feb. 29, 1936, in Guttenberg, son of John and Georgiana (Dremmel) Andregg. He married Janice Kolker on Dec. 27, 1958, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Guttenberg.

Jon received his education from St. Mary's Catholic School in Guttenberg; and served his country in the Navy.

Jon enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, golfing and hunting. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and a member of Eagles Aerie 4114.

Surviving are his wife, Janice; two daughters, Jonna (Jeff) Walters and their children, Jacob, Jess, and Mina, of Peosta, Jennifer (Eric) Griner and their children, Thomas and William, of Peosta; a son, Josh Andregg and his children, Justin and Jace, of Fairfax; four sisters, Anna Stevens, of Dubuque, Ellen (Charles) Burdeaux, of Denver, Colo., Charlene Andregg and Fran Ulbrich, both of Guttenberg; two brothers, Richard Andregg, of Guttenberg, and Gerald (Betty) Andregg, of Garnavillo; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Emma Jean Andregg and Joan Lancaster; and three brothers, twins, in infancy and John.
