Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Emanuel Lutheran church for Charles Wiltse, 53, who passed away, Monday evening, June 14. Through of failing health for the past year, he had been active until the day before his death. Interment was in the Strawberry Point cemetery, the Rev. L.A. Stumme in charge.
Charles Earl Wiltse was born at Wood Center, Iowa, Sept. 28, 1890, the son of Frank and Alice Wiltse. In 1910, he was married to Anna Burrack. He had formerly farmed, until his retirement a few years ago. Survivors are his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Alice) Dunn; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Ashline of Frolich and Mrs. Henry Linderwell of Poynette, Wis. There are also two grandchildren, Vera Mae and LeRoy Dunn.
