Former Resident Dies In California
Word has been received here of the death on December 18th, 1940, at San Jose, California, of Dewey Walcott who was at one time secretary of the Strawberry Point creamery and of the Commission Co. He will be remembered by a number of people here, although he has been a resident in California for the past twenty years. Mr. Walcott still owned the property occupied by Dr. and Mrs. R.W. Dutton. Mrs. Walcott survives.

Full name was Charles D. Walcott, born in NY ca 1873. Wife's name was Fanny B. [maiden name unknown]. Occupation: farmer & feed merchant. The couple were numerated on the 1905 Iowa State Census, and the 1900, 1920 U.S. census living in Strawberry Point. On the 1930 U.S. census, they are in San Jose, CA.
