Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. December 31, 2007 at St. Joseph's Church in Elkader, IA
with burial in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Elkader, IA. Leonard Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Jeanne F. Fassbinder, 88, of Prairie du Chien, WI, formerly of Elkader, died Friday, December 28, 2007, at Prairie Maison Nursing Home, Prairie du Chein, WI, following a long illness.

She was born September 21, 1919, in Slaton, TX to Wallace and Victoria (Ecker) Baldwin. She graduated from Marquette High School.

She was united in marriage to Richard Fassbinder on June 14, 1938, in Elkader. A son was born to this union.

Jeanne worked at the Elkader Plating Co. for a time. She has been a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church & Guild.

Survivors include her son, John and his wife Marilyn Fassbinder of Prairie du Chien, WI; two grandchildren, Brent Fassbinder of Prairie du Chien, WI and Donna (Dan) Jeffries of Davenport; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Erica and Elise Fassbinder and Alison Jeffries and a half-brother, Ray Baldwin of Wisconsin.
