Mrs. Nevermann Last Rites Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Freddie Nevermann, 52, were held Monday afternoon, May 18, at 1:30 o'clock at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran with Rev. R. E. Langholz and Rev. Fred F. Darnauer officiating.

The body lay in state at the church from 12:30 o'clock in the afternoon until the time of the services. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Nevermann died Saturday, May 16, 1970, at the Postville hospital after being seriously ill for about six months.

As Lorene Mamie, she was born the daughter of John J. and Clara (Henkes) Krambeer, Sept. 15, 1917, on a farm near Luana. She attended the elementary schools of the Luana community and also attended high school there. She was a graduated of Pitzies Beauty school of Waterloo.

She was married to Freddie Nevermann at Nashua, April 30, 1935. After their marriage, they farmed west of Monona until 1946 when they moved to Renwick, where Mrs. Nevermann began her work as a beautician.

They moved back to Monona in 1949. Here Mrs. Nevermann set up her own beauty shop but became ill with TB and had to spend seven months at the Sanatorium. In 1950 she was well enough to return home. For about five years, she worked as a clerk in the Hamann Shoe store.

In 1955 she returned to her work as a beautician and continued to serve people in this work until the time of her last illness.

She was baptized April 26, 1935, and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, March 14, 1937, in Monona when Rev. H. W. Siefkes was pastor. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran church at the time of her death.

Preceding her in death were her parents and five brothers, Lester, Kenneth, Gerald, Burnell, and Verdell Krambeer.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, LeAllen, and daughter-in-law, Janelle, of Mason City; two grandchildren, Brian, 7, and Stuart, 5; three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Edna) Ihde of Monona, Mrs. Louis (Lucille) McNally and Mrs. Robert (Irma) Meyer of Postville; and two brothers, Harold Krambeer of Des Moines and Myron Krambeer of New Albin.

Honorary pallbearers were: Kermit Klinge, Roger Swanson, R. L. Evans, Toey Kelly, A. N. Busse, Dr. E. G. Kettelkamp, Ervin Johnson, Floyd Thorstenson, Francis Wagner, and LaVerne Zittergruen.

Active casket bearers were: L'Dean Krambeer, Calvin Ihde, LaVern Krambeer, Terry McNally, Bobbie Meyer, Nanford Meyer, Kenny Krambeer, and Loy Dean Krambeer.
